Quality Control (QC)

Job Purpose
To ensure that raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products comply with defined quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements through accurate testing, analysis, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, in-process samples, and finished products as per approved specifications and standard test methods.
- Conduct chemical analysis and instrumental analysis such as pH, moisture, titration, spectrophotometry, and other relevant QC tests.
- Ensure timely sampling, testing, and reporting of results to support uninterrupted production.
- Maintain proper documentation of test results, analysis records, and logbooks in compliance with internal SOPs and quality systems.
- Ensure calibration, validation, and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Follow safety, health, and environmental (SHE) guidelines while handling chemicals and laboratory operations.
- Coordinate with Production, R&D, and Stores departments for quality – related issues.
Educational Qualification
- B. Sc / M. Sc in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands – on experience in a QC laboratory within Chemical, Fertilizer, or Pesticide manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of QC processes, testing methodologies, and laboratory best practices.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, GMP, and quality documentation systems.
- Good understanding of safety practices in chemical laboratories.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic laboratory software systems.
- Strong analytical, problem – solving, and communication skills.
